More Domain Holders Comments from 2007

what i was trying to convey earlier was 'domainers' will compare, because that is what domainers do. compare, stats, blah blah. we all do it these are end user domains really. the point being, they ideally want the LLL.com for whatever reason they cant get it. multinational owns, a hoarder owns who wont sell. owner uncontestable, too pricey....whatever.
this is the next best thing. they prob don't want an info, a biz (prob don't know they exist tbh) org are great and under priced imo but many think just charity net, well, many don't like and i can speak for UK, businesses simply do NOT use, they are not liked. most countries are same. cctld first (apart from US always com) , then com. nothing else liked (mobi will become in huge demand too imo)

so, L-L-L.com is the next choice if they cant get, i suppose LL-L.com may be an option? or .info/.net? i want to get more premiums. i am seeing a lot of wanted posts for L-L-L.com, also have had a few pms trying to buy them for $20 LOL Think many made mistake of buying all the 450,000 LLLL.com and taking their eye off this ball of only 17.5k (with 25% already developed) don't get me wrong, i like LLLL.coms and have some, not enough gooduns, but a L-L-L.com is very different to a LLLL.com... even on basic level. see how many search results each gives. there's your buyers An end user does not care about the traffic from type in traffic. If they were using a three word .com they were not getting type in traffic anyway.

As far as the hyphen when they advertise on a search engine or a text link they will have the correct link to their site both visually and functionally. On a business card if they are dealing with people who can read they will see the - and type it in properly. The only area I see is in if they do Radio advertising they will have to stress the -. But a lot of buyers will be the second biggest entity using those letters on down. The large Fortune 1000 owns the LLL.com not selling and they really do not want to have qualitydiscounthealthcare.com, so they will see value in Q-D-H.com just so long as the seller realizes he owns the L-L-L.com and prices it so as to provide value and a win-win for both sides of the table. Again IMO

Lets look at LLL.com premium letters sell to end users $8k - $100k already
poor letters sell to resellers for mid - high $xxxx all day with little hope of an end user . but are investment flip domains. L-L-L.com premium letters already sell for $xxxx mid to end users i don't foresee being able to ask much more than that really. depends on end user though and letters. they are all sold out and no more hand regging for anyone so prices are rising day by day until they plateau off.

i would say the guide for a L-L-L.com to an end user is low xxxx - mid xxxx
i would say 10% of that min. to resellers low - mid xxx , which we have for premiums.
if you have letters that the LLL.com will never come up and company is huge and there is many many big firms using acronym, then that may be an exception and you can charge more 'IF ' you know who's contacting you. anyone selling any L-L-L.com for less than xxx right now is mad.

Don't forget to be beneficial for the seller and buyer the l-l-l.coms need to be affordable and is the cheap alternative to LLL.com so the top value for end user selling is $5,000. Once a company has its L-L-L.com i doubt we be seeing the
company selling again unless they sell up.

Don't forget at least quarter of the 17576 L-L-L.com corporate companies already have their L-L-L..com and another half are developed personal sites which could be brought by a reseller and sold again to a end user. The moral of the story why
L-L-L.com works is because they are cheaper than LLL.coms and i don't see them reaching those LLL.com end user selling prices but it will be profitable selling from $500 to $5000 but not a dollar more to keep them affordable. The moral of the story is l-l-l.coms works because they are cheap, affordable, well balanced and symmetrical with the companies three letters and products acronyms as well as the L-L-L.com statistics.

The only thing I can see for sure is that regarding search traffic from search engines like google simply do not see the dashes so a-b-c is the same as abc. Type in traffic i can't say for sure but other countries use dashes much more casually than in the US, so there is natural traffic there. Add to that the fact that every LLL is taken with many if not most of them are simply parked pages, web surfers are looking for content and services.

Finally as regular two and three word domains with any real value or use is becoming harder to buy and develop, i think companies that need domains are becoming more creative in their buying, in other words rather than a two word that is a stretch to understand or brand, they are opting for hyphenated domains for more brand specific usage. It's what they have to do to get a domain that isn't being squatted on. In doing so they are bringing hyphenated direct navigation more to the forefront of the business therefore training the marketplace ie the web surfers to accept and use hyphens more frequently.

Since LLL owners rely on direct navigation from curious surfers for 100% of their type-in traffic, why is it so hard to believe that with these changes and habits forming in the user base, that direct type-ins with hyphens can't happen, it obviously is happening. Many of us are experiencing the natural traffic and revenues. Continued success to those of us that could see the potential of these L-L-L dot com's.

i know domainers don't like hyphens let alone two but think of me as the public domainer who likes to domain but likes to surf the internet play computer games. what domainers don't see is that the public don't care about hyphens what you give them they will use. if i branded a L-L-L.com do you think the public would not use it if i had a service they wanted to use ? L-L-L.com is cheap and alternative option to LLL.com, Say the LLL.com has already been used for a company but you want that combo for your company so a L-L-L.com would be the next step.

Most L-L-L combos are reg fee for domain resellers unless there pronounceable, dictionary or well known. If a end user contacts you and you have l-l-l.com of any sort then i would say any think from $500 - $1500 - $2500 would be the best price to sell. People asking for l-l-l.coms appraisals and trying to sell there l-l-l.com to soon is a no-no. Hold on to them for a year or two in mean time park them or develop. With the increase of high sales for LLL.coms which is increasing LLL.coms value the better chance l-l-l.coms will get for there turn as a cheaper alternative. if that happens you will start seeing search engines more hyphen friendly which will increase traffic etc. It is a waiting game its like fine wine the longer you wait the better it has to mature.
